Clinical Psychologist

Julia is a naturally empathic and warm Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience working in both public and private practice across Sydney. She worked at the Traumatic Stress Clinic based at Westmead Hospital and the University of New South Wales where she gained expertise in anxiety and mood disorders, prolonged grief and posttraumatic stress disorder.

Since becoming a mother herself to two beautiful boys, Julia has developed a strong passion to support the wellbeing of women and their families during pre-conception, pregnancy and the postnatal period.  Julia feels it is a deep privilege to help individuals navigate their unique journeys. 

In addition to private practice, Julia currently works at the Gidget Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that provides specialist psychological support to expecting and new parents.

Julia is devoted to creating a supportive and comfortable environment for clients to share and explore their concerns together. Her approach is rooted in compassion, building strong therapeutic rapport, and providing evidence-based treatment to create meaningful change. 

  Julia uses an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from attachment theory and a range of treatment approaches, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based therapy, and Schema Therapy.
